Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actress who was born on the 31st of January 1974. She's most famous for her role as Bo from the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk who was known as an accomplished actor, director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna can remember watching her mother working and going to practice sessions for plays. Silk made appearances in numerous commercials in her early years. As of 1997, the actress graduated with the degree of bachelor's from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was active in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto, Canada in November of 1999. She then moved to Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she first saw him in 2007 during an Actors' Workshop held in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged the year 2009 and wed in a civil ceremony in December that same year. When she converted to Judaism They took their vows to each other again at the Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk had a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second baby born on May 13th, 2016. Silk is known for her part on TV as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she was awarded a nomination by her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. Silk was offered the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus for the Canadian TV series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant when she was filming the final episode of the third series. Silk announced her baby's pregnancy to viewers during her Showcase Season Three pre-show special of January 6, 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter on June 20th, 2013 that the show was coming back to production. The fourth season began on June 4, 2013 with Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The character she played Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex couples in the show Lost Girl was named one of the most popular TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most popular shows on the social network.
